1. What is Camp Gan Israel?
Camp Gan Israel of Denver is a Jewish day camp dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and meaningful summer experience for children. Established in 1979, CGI Denver combines exciting activities, sports, and trips with Jewish pride, values, and spirit — all in a warm, caring environment.

2. Who are the camp directors?
For the summer of 2026, Camp Gan Israel will be led by Rabbi Yeruchem and Mushky Engel, bringing fresh energy and creativity to the camp’s beloved program. The camp continues under the inspiration and guidance of Rabbi Yisroel and Leah Engel, who have directed CGI Denver since its founding.

3. What ages can attend Camp Gan Israel?
CGI Denver welcomes boys ages 4–8 and girls ages 4–12.

4. What are the camp dates and hours?
Camp runs for six weeks, typically from late June through early August.
Daily hours are 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

5. What does the trip schedule look like?
Trips are one of the highlights of the CGI experience! Each week features exciting outings that are age-appropriate and supervised by trained staff. Past trips have included bowling, amusement parks, nature hikes, zoos, swimming adventures, and special surprise destinations.
The trip schedule is released before the start of camp so parents and campers can look forward to each week’s adventures. All trips follow strict safety and transportation guidelines.

6. What kind of activities are offered?
In addition to trips, campers enjoy sports, arts & crafts, swimming, music, creative workshops, and Jewish-themed programming. Each day is filled with energy, laughter, and hands-on fun designed to bring out every child’s best.

7. How does CGI ensure camper safety?
Safety is our top priority. Staff members are trained in supervision, first aid, and emergency procedures. We maintain low camper-to-staff ratios and uphold strict safety policies regarding facilities, transportation, and health. (See our full Safety Policy for details.)

8. Do campers need to bring lunch and snacks?
Camp provides a nutritious and delicious hot lunch every day. Snacks should be brought by each camper as needed.

9. What is the staff-to-camper ratio?
We pride ourselves on small group sizes and a low staff-to-camper ratio, ensuring personalized attention, care, and supervision.

10. How do I register my child?
