About Rabbi Yisroel and Leah Engel
For over four decades, Rabbi Yisroel and Leah Engel have been pillars of Jewish life in Denver, directing Bais Menachem and a wide range of Chabad programs that have inspired and uplifted the community. Since their arrival in 1982, they have dedicated themselves to creating a welcoming environment where every Jew feels connected, valued, and inspired.
Through their leadership, they have established thriving centers of Torah learning, community engagement, and Jewish pride. Their initiatives include Camp Gan Israel of Denver, adult education classes, youth programs, and vibrant holiday events that bring the spirit of Judaism to life for all ages.

About Rabbi Yeruchem and Mushky Engel
Rabbi Yeruchem and Mushky Engel bring warmth, energy, and a passion for community to their roles at Bais Menachem and Chabad of Denver.
A proud Denver native, Rabbi Yeruchem Engel grew up surrounded by the vibrant programs and spirit of Bais Menachem. After his marriage to Mushky, he entered the field of Jewish education, teaching in Brooklyn, New York, where he was known for his engaging style and dedication to his students’ growth.
Mushky Engel, originally from Minnesota, has extensive experience in education, having worked closely with high school students before moving to Denver. She now shares her energy, warmth, and insight through women’s programs, Torah classes, and community initiatives.
Together, Rabbi Yeruchem and Mushky returned to Denver to continue the Engel family’s legacy of leadership. Rabbi Yeruchem serves as Assistant Rabbi at Bais Menachem and Program Director for Chabad of Denver, while Mushky partners in nurturing meaningful connections across the community. Together, they bring fresh vision, youthful enthusiasm, and a deep love for Jewish life, inspiring others to grow, learn, and engage with Torah and mitzvot.
